=>Rather odd thing to have "urgent", I know. :)
=>
=>I was in the process of replacing my alternator on my '88 16v over the
=>weekend and noticed that the middle v-belt (water pump and AC) was in dire
=>need of replacement. I have to take off the power steering/water
=>pump belt
=>to get to it, but the power steering pump will NOT move. I've pried,
=>jacked, and pounded that sucker to no avail -- all pivot points are quite
=>loose (in fact, the only remaining point I can see it connected to the car
=>is the bracket on the passenger side) and I've PB'ed everything
=>that looked
=>like it *could* move.
=>
=>Any ideas? What am I missing? I thought one just had to loosen the
=>adjusting bolt, but even with it out I'm out of luck.
=>
=>This is rather important, as I've missed half a day of work already..
=>
=>Thanks in advance!
