adjusting Ignition timing

Yup. That's what you'll have to do. You probably won't get it *perfect*,
but that's where the adjustable timing light helps. Set it to 0, and it
will tell you if your mark is right. Then, find the setting where it
runs best (or 6 BTDC for a factory setting), and write it down for
future use.
