Re-key kit

I'm not aware of a kit.  But a year or so(?) ago, someone on this list
described how to re-tumble door locks by picking up the little brass
tumblers from a junk yard and then mixing and matching until it fits your
key.  I think there was something about filing them down to work too.  My
memory's not that great on the topic, so perhaps a quick search through the
archives will help or someone else may speak up.
