Upper Stress bar interchangeable?

Can anyone confirm that the upper stress bar for the 16V and the 8V are
the same? It is my understanding that you just reverse the position of
the bar for the two models. On the 16V the bar is near the rain tray
and on the 8v the bar is in between the intake manifold and the valve
cover.
