16V mixture test problem

I recently tested my mixture to readjust it.  Unfortunately, my multimeter wouldn't stay hooked up, and the car kept on nearly dying.  After adjusting it to 10mA (which is where it normally runs best), the car misfires at 75%+ throttle.  Is there something I might have fried from disconnecting the test leads?  Or is it just coincedence.  Everything in my ignition/fuel system is new except the coil.  Thanks.
