is this the ignition ???

it couldn't hurt to change the ignition switch, it's pretty easy and only $12.  From the sounds of it your starter motor turns but the solenoid does bring the gear back properly, are you sure you wired the starter up correctly?

They are cheap and easy to install ?

thanks for the help with the temp light blinking on
the 16V, I clean off the sensor in the overfill tank
and it went away.
