OT Welders
Wow, scirocco people sure are on the same wavelength!
I *just* bought a used welder 2 days ago. My suggestion is to buy a used one, since you will get a lot more for your money. I picked up a Miller XMT 300 for $500. It does MIG, TIG and even plasma cutting with the right accessories. It also uses 120v, 220v or 3 phase(!)
It looks like its been on quite a few jobs, but it works and I know I will never outgrow it. The guy I bought it from says they build ships with this thing...
Also taking a TIG/MIG class in a week. I definitely don't want to experiment without knowing the basics.

I'm looking for opinions for a Mig welder. Budget is under $1000.
Has anyone researched these lately or know of anyone with a MIG for sale?
Thanks
