My friend Sean is about to install a Fuba on the roof of his 85 8v. I did some research
for him (list archives, google) but I'm not sure which is the best/easiest method...
Would you:
1) Use Patrick's method of removing hatch weatherstrip, and undo headliner stitching at
the sides to gain access.
<http://www.longcoeur.com/scirocco/Technotes/16vantenna/index.html>
or
2) Remove hatch weatherstrip across top AND halfway down the sides to gain access
(thereby avoiding removing the stitching).
or
3) Do what the idiot PO did on my 81 and just put a hole in the headliner and let the
wire hang straight down onto the rear seat, on top of the carpet to the front, and then
to the radio... :-)
or something else?
BTW, is the 16v headliner identical to the one on an 85 8v?
Thanks!
Mark
