yes they are, but the trick (like in Canada where it is illegal) is to
do the following
1. get a large envelope, write a mailing address on it (i.e.: your
house back in the Usa and make sure it has stamps on it to mail it
back.
2. poke a small hole so that the power supply (ignore if using
batteries) ca reach inside the and power the radar detector.
3. lay it on your dash... :)
If a cop pulls you over, simply pull the cord, and slide the envelope
unto the seat next to you. the power cord you say.. well its for your
cell phone of course (smile), besides opening a letter that has been
sealed without a warrant is a federal postal offence in any country.
he can look at it, but he cannot touch it...(grin)
