Help needed - Clutch pedal/adjustment woes

you know that tube on the pedal cluster that broke off... I had the same
problem (pedal very close to floor and issues with shift/adjusting the
cable.
I tracked one down from a scrapped car, and stuffed it into the firewall
hole and re-inserted the cable thought it... guess what.. solved the
problem.
so find one man... you need that part. (with the rubber bushing)
