Howdy,
Just joined the list (I've been on the VW Vortex site for a year).
About a year ago I flew to Seattle to pick up my second '81 S and drove it back home to Vacaville, CA, just south of Sacramento, north of San Francisco. About 1200-1300 miles, since I didn't drive directly, but instead took the scenic route, thrashing it on Hwy 1 for a few hundred miles...:>)
