Turbo vs. Supercharger.

That would be interesting, but I'd have to do a bunch
of research before I go that route. I suspect my G60
may flow a lot more air than those little turbos do.
No point swapping everything out for the same boost
I've already got, right? What would one of these
turbos push on a stock 1.8 bottom end?
FYI, my G60 pushes 10psi from 2500rpm all the way to
7000rpm. That doesn't sound like much, but keep in
mind that my head, valves, cam, intake, and
intercooler all allow a LOT more flow than a stock
Corrado. I also have a little more displacement. All
those things reduce the boost readings, making PSI
comparisons irrelavant.
I think the pulley/charger I run is probably good for
16-18psi on an otherwise stock engine, but it might
only start at 10psi from 2500 and increase until you
hit redline at 6200. I think on a stock head/cam you
run into issues where the charger CFM increases with
RPM faster than the head can consume it, which
increases the boost pressure measurement.
But anyway, I've just got too much damn money in this
setup to mess with it! :)
