Larry, who needs lots of torque in a 1700lb car built for track duty? I
think the combined twist on the Green Hell was about 75ft/lbs. That's
probably on par with a stock Mk1 Scirocco, so "satisfactory motivation" is
but a relative matter. And, with that feather weight and nutty hp on tap?..

As the owner of a very torquey 1100 (GS Suzuki) I can tell you that a
motorcycle engine (even two) will not have sufficient torque to
satisfactorily motivate an automobile.
It's been tried and the results were commercial failures.

I guess the question would be do those motors have enough torque to
accellerate that thing?
