Help please: MC and bleed problems
1. Sounds like an air bubble got into the M/C.
2. It's a bitch (or bastard depending) to get the booster off. Prepare
for a long day and get someone who's done it before.
3. Some cars came with 7 mm bleeders, nothing mysterious. Book can't
cover _every_ model, unless it's a Bentley that came out early on in
the run, like a year after your specific model. (78 Roc, 80 Bentley
etc.)
4. You must have expelled some air from the system, BUT there might
_still_ be a bubble in there so you should get a big bottle of DOT4
fluid and purge all the old stuff out with you pressure bleeder. Start
at the rear and farthest from the M/C, then the other rear, then front
farthest away then closest up front last. Along the way pump the M/C a
few times but not too far as to get it deep into it's travel. Damage
to the o-rings could and will result, most of the time. (Hence one
very good reason for the pressure system).
5. M/C won't come with a prop valve, they are ala care unless you got
a package deal. SOme cars gang both rears with one valve, some systems
with four spigots on the M/C (instead of just two) have one prop valve
each for the rears. Depends.
