Any novel ways of diagnosing oil leaks?

I have a oil leak checker that uses dye in the oil. It's a true ultraviolet
(have to use glasses so it doesn't damage your eyes) light that hooks to
your battery. I got the whole set (brand new in the package) from Ebay for
like $30. This is the same setup that they use at the shops and charge you
$120 cause I use to do that!!

I just checked to see if there were any on Ebay but there wasn't. Just keep
your eye out for'em, the pop up every once in a while!

figured I might as well fix it when I have the engine out to transfer it to
the cabby. But last time I looked I couldn't pinpoint it. My first guesses
are the oil filter mount area or the oil pan.
