(Mk1 tech, electrical) My car won't work! (long, but I need help!)

I get voltage, but I don't get continuity.

if you get voltage, but it mysteriously goes away under load, it can be one
of 2 things:
high resistance connection/burnt wire (series) upstream (towards battery).
short (parallel) to ground downstream (towards what the wire supplies).
