problems replacing timing belt tensioner

Aw c'mon, I would never use a come-along from the rafters. Well, not
unless I broke the chain-fall from the rafters setup I have :P

rafter, too.

Can't get much cheaper than this. 2 nails and a screwdriver.....

  Robbie-
You can make a tool to hold the two-holer. (I made one out of a piece of
1/4 X 1" aluminum strap and two machine screws) Or buy one.
But I'm sure someone here (Cheap?) has a down-and-dirty way of doing it.

    Hey all,

I just got the tensioner off my '83 8v, only to find that it does not
match the new one I have waiting. The old one has a big nut on it so you
can tighten it, the new one just has two little holes where the nut should
be. Do you need a special tool to tension the new ones or something!?
Looking at pics from adirondack and gprparts.com the all have the two hole
design. What do I do? Please help I need to get back on the road!
Thanks
  in advance-

    Rob
