[ot] carfax: was (rant) Now: Any ideas?

Carfax says my Scirocco has a Salvage junk title.  I
don't know what that means and their explanation is a
little vague.  I know my Scirocco was in an accident,
but it was repaired out my uncle's pocket.  The only
other thing is that it was before my uncle bought the
car.  He bought it for 3000 dollars in 1988 and the
title wasn't officaly transfered to him until 1990
Nov. 15, the same day the NY salvage title was given. 
I have the title of the Scirocco at home and its the
same day.  
Other than that the other cars in my household are all
clear as they were all bought brand new.  Glad the pig
incident wasn't put in there in my dad's car
