got my scirocco and it smells like pee!
i recommend only lifting the parts that go under the seats/feet. trying
to yank the entire carpet section will be incredibly painful, as you have to
remove the a/c handler and get to several clips up behind the dash (some of
which are behind the a/c handler), which hold the carpet in place.
the padding way up forward on the angled area has a rigid backing to it,
so anything that went through the carpet would have rolled down to the
floor. i suspect it would then seep below the padding section at the floor
(what your feet rest on), this section can be removed by only lifting the
carpet at the rockers (leaving the center section in place).
