Lookie what $200 got me...(little long)
Wow Jeff that ROCS for a MkI........
Looks like the goodies include the Zender Grill, Factor rear fill plate,
Dealer installed sliding ragtop, Kamei skirts/front spoiler and the cool
suck the bugs into the motor scoopie things.
For all you wondering, the ragtop is a dealer option available from
about 1977-1981. The early cars, like my 78 have a Weathershields Ltd.
Top made in England. There will be a small plate on the front frame
panel that will tell if the top is an original Weathersheilds or if it
is a later model Brittax. Brittax bought Weathersheilds in 1978 and
then sold all the left over parts to the US installers. Then Brittax
destroyed the molds and began producing their own tops.
There is a place in So Cal called Sunroof Performers....they have been
installing and repairing these tops in Sciroccos Rabbits and Beetles
since the 70's. Look then up and give em a call if you need any
hardware and the top recovered.
Several listers have Ragtop MkIs now or are planning to install a
retrofit top in a project.
