what is normal oil temp?

This makes  me want to do some kind of calibration test.  Should be able to
rig some boiling pan of water and dunk the probe and see what 100c really
registers on a gauge.  Just a thought.  It bothers me now to think that 100
on my guge might mean 95 or 105.
