quick Q: will a MKI upper stress fit MKII?

MK1 and mk2 have different bars.  Look at most of the sites and they will
stress - no pun intended ;) - that the A1 bar will fit rabbits, jettas, and
mk2 Sciroccos but a mk1 is a different bar.  I believe the mounting on the
strut towers is slightly shorter on the mk1 from the mk2 and the mk2 bar
will squeeze in but will not allow you to close the hood unless you put a
nasty dent into it to clear the bar...

PS: If anyone wants to get rid of a mk1 bar cheap let me know :)
