Does rear axle from '81 Rabbit fit '81 Scirocco?

Well thanks Drew, and everyone else who gave advice too! :) I'll check on the 
stub axle action; if I can't see anything by eye then I'll go back and ask 
the mechanic at the shop what part's actually bent. Looks like from what you 
guys say, ANY of the Rabbits/Sciroccos at that junkyard (which range from '80 
[for the rabbits] to '84) will work. I can pick and choose :) They do have an 
unwrecked '84 Scirocco so I guess I'll go fer that if I ever want to go ape 
crazy and add a sway bar.

Drew, is your Scirocco a diesel conversion as well, or did they in fact make 
a rare diesel scirocco or two?
