Won't raise the car but the SPRINGS are set for a greater weight &

With minor detail the floor plans of the Mk1, Mk2, Rabbit (Golf 1) and
Jetta for that matter (except for the additional trunk) are all the
same. There _are_ differences but if you are cutting and welding they
become minor.

Ugh. Cutting. <sigh> I hate the sound of that.  :])  Well, if there is
a front ended car that might donate then it's for the greater good,
eh?

You might look into parts network type services.
