'78 Roc rear seat back removal Q

It should be obvious to me, but I can't get the damned rear seat back 
out.  Don't see
any latches to release or anything, and the owner's manual doesn't 
help.  I'n not
talking about releasing it so it can't tilt forward, but to remove it right 
from the car.
There is some plastic or vinyl trim preventing me from seeing how the thing 
is held
in there.
