1986 automatic scirocco upstate NY FS

Ok guys, I just recently acquired an '86 scirocco automatic. I have 0 need for this car,
but it kinda fell into my lap so to say. Ok, so onto the details.

Bad news:
This car is not the greatest, starting with the automatic. Supposidly, the reason the
guy got rid of it was because the shop he took it to said that it had a blown tranny.
Now, I took the car for a few laps around the field, and it has all three gears...I think.
As soon as I put some seats in it, I'll throw a dealer plate on it and I will take it down
the road to check it outl. Now, the hood it bent.....like a lot. it looks like someone
jumped on it, and it only latched on one side. the sheet metal where the wipers come
out (right below the windshield) is bent slightly as well. It has bad motor mounts, the
brakes feel a little soft, and it may need a C/V joint. Oh yeah, and it does not have
seats, but that will be taken care of as soon as I get seats for my jetta coupe.

Good news:
After all that you must be thinking, How the hell can there be any good out of this?!
Well, there is. The car is burgundy (like ATS's car before he painted it). The car also
has absolutly NO RUST and I think maybe two door dings on the entire car. The front
right fender has a scrape/dent in front of the wheel well as well....The interior is
brown and really nice (except there are no seats). The headliner is perfect. The car
doesn't overheat. The car has a clean title and is located in Kingston NY about 10
mins off of the thruway.

And here is the main reason that I do not want to see this car parted out (and I need a
reason not to go bajaing through my fields with it) it has 108,000 miles in it.

I will let this car go for $250 firm, just to cover my cost of getting it towed to my
house, and a little extra for myself. I will give a full report on any stress cracks, and
anything else I can find as soon as my lift opens up in the garage ( a friend has a head
job on a tarus) So, if anyone is interested let me know, I want to see this car go to
someone who will save it. I will have pictures by the end of this week.

Oh, and patrick (ATS) referring to your question on vortex, I'll get pictures soon, and
are you sure you are interested? I'm halfway across the country....
