It's home

Well folks the 78 is home and my driveway is full.  The neighbors are
shaking their heads already.  I love it.  Now I need to think of a name.
I'm thinking Crusty.  It looks like I need to get an alternator, and new
slicks, but otherwise this thing is ready top roll.  I spoke to one of the
guys who built it  today and it has a 10-1 8V and trans from a 86 GTI.  It
is running on the original CIS.  Either way I'm diggin' it.  The points
dist. is gone and he says it has got a electronic ignition from an 83 GTI.
Bilstein struts, Eibach springs, Bolt in Roll cage.  Poly bushings, the rear
tower brace looks home made, and a front brace from somewhere.  But no
lower.  Gonna need to get that to.  Life is good.
