Runners on 2.0 vs. 1.8, 16v



I don't know if it is worth it but I will be doing this.  The 81 Scirocco
will have this setup but I wouldn't do it for the 7% increase intake flow
(wow, wasn't that the different between the 1.8L head and 2.0L head??
Intake flowing better has to change the readings some!!).  I will also be
doing the chipped motronic conversion also for the 15 or so hp.  I figure
since all the wires are alread set up for the passenger side fuel system why
not swap it over and use the bigger intake too!

For the record, the stock 2.0L intake is 42.5mm and the stock 1.8L is 40mm.
If you figure it out, it is about 7 % bigger but could actually create more
than 7% more flow.
