I think it's a 104 motor, a 24-valve inline 6, 217 hp. This is  a
photo of the V6 3.2L 112 motor:

It is an engine transplant, however since the W124 wagon body was
never offered stock with the 24-valve 6.  Only the W124 coupe came
stock (for a couple of years) with that motor.  I doubt it's an AMG
motor of any sort, however.
