Cathy, that is because you live up north ... rust ? what is rust ...LOL
After sitting in a field for 3.5 years, I picked up that silver project (see
my web site) for 100$ of course it needs 500 to 2K $ in changes (yeah I know
I am an over acheiver..lol) but the only rust on it was on the battery tray
(damn acid!)... got to love Texas...


Jacob welcome aboard, here you will find the largest insane family of techs
, rednecks, wild scientists, and Euro Connections that exists world wide for
the vw scirocco....  check the prices of insurance, (or get it insured under
parents (mother are cheaper) and get 2nd driver on it. ). Depending on where
you are living at, various issues come around... rust being one in certain
areas of the country, (and all models between 74-81 thee hee). if you have
one local, or perhaps not so local that you want an opinion on, let the list
know, you may be surprise to find another scirocco lister near by that may
be willing to give his personal opinion based on experienced, or get
pictures of all the car and post them up, well will all scrutinize them.

like wawanessa, with the list your in good hands... or was that geico or
aflak, anyway...

the first tool you should buy after getting a scirocco. is the master
mechanic manual called BENTLEY.

The rest.. well I know it sounds like a plug (and it is sorta) but you can
