To truely clean the system some disassembly should be
done. Every line should come off and just use
compressed air to purge any dirt out of each part.
As for the compressor I would be worried about it yet.
Clean the system first. Get the 134a conversion kit
from your local parts store (try Advance Auto Parts)
and put that in as a charge. Only use 85% of the
factory R12 volume. The instructions will tell you
that. I don't remeber right now but tommorrow I can
tell you exactly what kit to buy. Also I recmd a UV
kit. You add a dye to the system and then use a UV
light to find any leaks.
ALSO works great for oil, power steering,
transmissions etc. AWESOME STUFF.
