Yeah, I was thinking about that after I wrote it, and SMS would not be ru=

out by doing this. And that's the main concern on ours, isn't it. I gotta=

that DD looked at, but I still think it's a CV joint. =
Now just for the record, neutral uncouples the drive pinion shaft (wheel =
end)
from the main shaft (engine end) essentially, right? (and the drive pinio=
n is
always engaged with the ring gear and onwards) Am I understanding that
correctly? I was doing the old "wheel's connected to the drive shaft"
backwards from the road, and got lost inside the tranny case somewheres. =
