8v alt and oxs light
The regulator in most cases is a small wort on the end of the alternator
case, opposite side of the pulley. There are two small screws that hold it
in place. When you remove it you are actually removing both the regulator
and the brushes.
Installation is the opposite. Place the new regulator in the hole and press
it in place while tightening the screws... the new brushes will be long and
they are spring loaded so the regulator assembly will not sit flush to the
alternator without a little help.
