[tech] buying new battery.. recomendations?

Alright after donating my old Crasftman canadian 870 cranking amps battery
to a tractor that ended being lawn ornament this past weekend at my farm.

I got the two thumbs up from the wife to get a new battery for the 2L
project; what would you gentelmen and ladies would reccomend for a hybrid
High compression 3A/JH 2L NA Engine?

I would like facts not; "this battery is really cool get it" I am looking at
the optima, aside it being a gel type battery what does it have (I am truly
not looking at the estetic of it) that a standard 800+ Amps battery does not
have?

I Mean I can get a VW battery for 59.99$ Optima is 100+$. Also Appreciate
any other "brand" you guys may suggest...
