That is correct, actually. And since it was sold for a couple of years by VW
of France, maybe you could call it a factory head. In general terms, though,
there is no solid-lifter 16v head from the factory. Oh, there's also the
Graf 16v head. List member, Scott Krauss has both Oettinger and Graf heads
in his collection.
