Yeah, there was a letter a couple of months ago that stated that, "Why would
anyone want to see Sciroccos? What is this, the 1980's?" And what I thought
was, "why would anyone want to see a early Mk1 Golf with small chrome Euros,
single headlight, and 13 inch wheels?" Well, I do, but why criticize a
fellow V-dubber with a car based on the same chassis? I mean, these are the
same people who treat the Jetta and it's successor like the red-headed
stepchild when all they are are Golfs with trunks...and they act like it's a
totally different vehicle...I don't get it.....Even a couple of years ago
when Adrenaline Motorsports did the first Mk1 Scirocco 1.8t, the quote was
something like "Why anyone would want to do this to a Mk1 Scirocco is beyond
me"....hmmm....I dont' know...sporty shape, slightly more aerodynamic than
the bricklike Golf, and Unique.....there's a good reason...The British are
strange...but then again, what do you expect from a bunch of Right hand
drive, inbred islanders....
