What to use for engine bay gunk?

Dear The,
Purple Power is a cleaner kind of like Simple Green, it's powerful
stuff and it smells like it might have some ammonia in it. <pwew>
It comes in a gallon bottle similar to coolant, if you do a Google
search for it (put a plus mark before each variable) and lets see what
we can find in the Great (defrosting) White North...
Looks like it might be a USA thing only...

Hmmmm, I find purplepower.com leads to some product I have never seen
before. On the other hand the gallon container I brought inside shows
