Faster non power steering rack option ( Scott read this)
Hi Tom;
I don't know whether the 924 steering is quicker than a manual Scirocco
or not but if it is I would think it wasn't very much quicker.The Quaife
rack parts which cost 300 bucks will take off one full turn lock to lock and
you will be ready to Auto-cross. In the long distant past I owned a Lotus
Elite which has two and a half turns lock to lock and it was great once you
learned not to turn the car to follow your eyeballs. I'm going to add a
Quaife rack to my 1979 Sirocco this summer.
