[Mk 1] Radio Install

Guys, I need some brainstorming help here....

On the weekend I purchased a radio for my Mk1 although I had no intention of having a radio in
there.  But now that I've purchased it, I need to find a place to install it.  I know that the radio
spot is the place I ought to put it BUT, in that spot, I have installed a Zender three gauge panel
(Volts, Oil Pressure and Water Temp).  I really don't want to relocate the gauges as the panel looks
so awesome and it fits perfectly....

So, where else can I fit this radio?  Has anyone installed a radio in their Mk1 somewhere other than
the original spot?  I was thinking of the ashtray or possibly somewhere in the center console.
However, the center console doesn't seem to adequately fit a radio....any suggestions?  Any one?
