so i got her back to the shop tonight, drove okay for the 1st mile then
started missing again. i checked the temp sensor, according to bentley it's
all good. then i had a slight mishap with my testor (long story, another
time perhaps), anyways; without it i decided to play find the broken piece
by replacing everything. i checked the plugs, look real good, changed the
cap and rotor and swapped the blue ignitor wires for a set of eurosports
that i had laying around. no go, changed the coil, no go. swapped icm's, no
go. after swapping the icm noticed that my idle stablizer valve was buzzing
with the ignition on but the motor off. what the hell, swapped it too, no
go. the idle stablizers harness goes to the jetronic box and to the o2
sensor(?), so i swapped the jetronic box but still no go. all parts are
proven good so i know i didn't swap a bad piece for a bad piece, so where
does that leave me? timing? i can see that all the marks are lined up so i
didn't slip a tooth on the belt, so i'm assuming it's not the timing. knock
sensor? didn't get to it. o2 sensor? this i'm thinking is a strong
possibility, when i play with the wires to the o2 sensor it feels like i can
move the sensor itself up and down, like it's loose in it's fitting. i will
check that first thing tomorrow, but is there any suggestions, anywhere i
forgetting to look? any help would be greatly appreciated.
