What would you do? (long)
Well, if you are positive that the hole wasn't there when you had the tranny
then this is what I would do. Offer to help him source a new case for it or
even a replacement tranny and offer to help with transfering all the parts
from one to the other.
If he's being a dick, offer the above mentioned help and if he continues to
be a dick, tell him it's his problem then but if he wants the help, your
still more then willing. (this makes you the better man and when he calms
down he'll realize he was a dick)
If he's being all cool about it, then it shouldn't be a problem at all.
This all works even if you knew the hole was there, but if you did know the
hole was there, it wouldn't hurt to chip in on the cost of the new case or
whole tranny
