I think that's the head gasket Tom...


Looks like they aren't domed, but dished. Interesting. Could=
 explain the low compression numbers (dished pistons =3D low=
 compression). Is the small or larger portion of the pistons=
 raised? 

And that is one MAJORLY milled down head! Yikes! No way I'd try=
 running that bugger on my car, the domes on my pistons already=
 pop past the block a little. don't need them pushing the head=
 off the block! You have an interesting setup going there man.=
 Hope you get it all worked out.  

BTW, are they forged or cast?
