pics from head swap--anyone seen pistons like this?

worthy of another thread. some of you may remember that my car has been (to 
me) slow since i got it, and i questioned whether it was really a 
bored/stroked 1.8 16v as the po claimed.  took the head off, mic'ed the 
chambers. bore=83.5mm, stroke = ~93.5mm (tough to get a good measurment). 
either way, it appears i have a 2l (2048cc?). anyway, check out the pic of 
the piston. see that crescent above/through the cutouts? anyone seen that 
before? also check out pics of the head, block (w/arp studs), and one of the 
intakes.
