SS brake lines was RE: Suspension carnage
with the rear disks,(at least the scirocco 16V) there is an extra pair of
rubber hoses. 4 pieces in all to do the rear. I dont know if the ones you
have are the right length to put in either of those spots. Even if they
were it would be a half upgrade...kinda.
That is what I recall anyway.

I've heard that SS brake line sets for A1s with rear drums are different
than A1s with rear disc. I have a set from a rear drum '84, does anyone
know offhand if it will work on my 88 16v?

I haven't been following your work and don't know what
else you have planned, but thought I'd better throw in my
2¢. You will never have a better opportunity to install
SS brake lines. Its a six piece set on 16v cars and you
pretty much have to do what you've just done to replace
the two little lines.
