Mk1 gauge cluster - does it come apart?

I finally installed a nice Mk1 220km/h cluster from Germany in my 80 S
, but I noticed that the clear plastic is dirty on the inside...  Do
these things come apart?  It doesn't look like it will without force,
and I don't want to bugger it up...
