(A little OT) Screwy electrical problem---HELP!!--UPDATE(new problem!)
The problem of no spark has been solved.I replaced the plugs for both the
ign. dist. & knock sensor(harness end).However,now I have another
problem.The car turns over & starts,but only runs for a few seconds.Timing
is OK.What's screwy about THIS problem is; when I start the car by
myself, the car starts & dies. When I have someone to hold the throttle open
when I start it,it will stay running as long as the throttle is held
open(runs great this way ),but as soon as the throttle is let go,it
dies. What makes this screwy,is while my bud holds the throttle while it
runs;I adjust(w/o meter & harness)the fuel dist. with my 3mm t-handle allen
wrench,to the point where it WILL stay running w/o holding the throttle(runs
even better at this point--268 TT cam, dual outlet e/m,swiss cheesed
airbox,head shaved .030")HOWEVER,when I shut the car off;wait a few
moments(no more than 20-30 sec.),and attempt to re-start car,car will start
but then die,duplicating above problem!!Throttle held open,mixture
re-adjusted;it stays running--cycle keeps repeating.ARRGGHHHH!!!!I don't
know what to do at this point;I don't have any hair left!!I'm sorry for the
LONG story, but I thought everyone needed to hear the whole story in order to
help me with this aggravating problem. Thanks in advance for your help!!! Ken
