The conception of the scirocco starving under 1/2-1/4 tank of gas is a
reality. do you know why?

90% of the people driving right now their rocco's have never had their gas
tank cleaned, pressure tested, old varnished gas removed, and recoated.

I have 2 scirocco's One, starves, the other I did the works on the tank, and
I can run the car all the way down to the bottom line of the red zone, (I
have actually pumped 13 Gallons of gas on day into this tank out of 13.5
gallons...)

So I say if you are having starvation of gas in your rocco, and if you have
changed your rubber fuel lines, cleaned and/or changed your fuel pump and
in-tank pump... take a flash light and peek into your gas tank when it is
that low... I bet you its varnished and needs a cleanup.
