Which headlamps for my 88 16v???

the H4651's are/should the low/high beams.  Most rocco's have the 4
headlight sealed beam system (unless you have Euro Lights).  The low beams
(H4651) will also switch to high beam when you activate the switch (these
are the outer headlights), the (4651) high beams are for the inner set of
lights and are literally just a high beam that only comes one when you turn
the high beams on.  I hope that makes things less confusing (it's 1am here
and I'm running on fumes).  I cheated a bit when I replaced my lights the
first time and just bough 4 low/high beams since the strictly high beam
lights where almost twice the price of the low/high beams.

However, if you want great lighting and have a little $$ to burn, get a set
of Euro lights for your rocco and relay the lights (diagrams for this can be
found at http://www.longcoeur.com/scirocco/  in the tech-notes section) and
then you will have the second best lighting you can get for a rocco.  The
best would be Tobias's lighting solution which involved the transplant of a
real Xenon setup fromm a BMW and is about as impressive as it gets.
