Any tools to check timing advance while moving???

Hey guys, a few other cars have diagnostic ports that you can find a tool to 
plug into and view what the timing advance is while you're driving.
Is there anything like this that can display the advance on my 88 16v?  It'd 
be helpful to know how much timing advance I'm being given, cause my 
re-occuring problem seems to be yanking timing from me again.
