I'm still having trouble with my 86 aba swap. The problem is that it
overheats under a load. The cooling system is up to stuff. I can let
it idle for an hour without overheating and I can drive it at normal
speeds for hours and it's ok. Drop the hammer, and if I keep it up too
long the temps keep on rising until the rd light flashes (I only let it
do that one time). I think it may be running too lean. Today I went to
adjust the mixture. I put my dwell meter on and it read 35. Hmmmm,
that's for a 8 cyl car! I'm at 70 with no fluctuation. Turning the 3
mm allen produced no change. I used the original o2 sensor so I changed
that today, but the reading remained at 70. I'm going to talk with my
local guru tonight, but I need some ideas 'cause this is killing my
little bit of free time I have.
